Teamwork, Milestones and Celebrations at ISF
June has been another action-packed month for the ISF team, filled with site activity, project milestones, and team celebrations!
We kicked things off with a client project in the Midlands, where our installation engineers, project managers, and one of our apprentices, carried out essential prep work for a new silo deck. The team opened up the top floor, installed support steels, and modified existing trimmers, ahead of phase two. Once complete, the new flexible silos will the boost the customers’ storage capacity and improve ingredient flow – a great step forward in efficiency for the client.
Teamwork remains at the heart of what we do, and no one embodied that better this month than our project manager, David, who swapped his desk for site boots to help hit a tight deadline. It’s just one example of how our team brings together years of hands-on experience to deliver bespoke, high-quality solutions across design, fabrication, installation and project management.
We also completed the successful installation of a new pellet press at a long-standing client’s ruminant feed mill in Lancashire. The ageing press had become a production risk, but in just three days, we removed it and replaced it with a new, higher-capacity model complete with custom-designed feed and discharge chutes manufactured in our York workshop. The result? A brand-new press that has doubled throughput from 6tph to 12tph!
We also shared a clip from our new video to show our planning and design process. It brings to life the start of every ISF project, with detailed site surveys and 3D modelling before moving into precision manufacturing. Our approach ensures every solution is fully compliant, efficient, and tailored to our clients’ needs. Look out for more video clips over the coming months.
Finally, we proudly celebrated International Women in Engineering Day, highlighting two key members of the ISF team: Laura Palmer-Hukins, our meticulous Quality Manager, and Janet Scott, Director and all-around workshop hero. Their dedication and expertise are just part of what makes ISF tick.
