We understand the value of training, developing, and empowering our employees, who all play an integral role in maintaining ISF’s position at the forefront of the animal feed processing industry.
From entry positions to joining ISF with years of relevant experience, ISF’s success requires our employees to strive for excellence.
At ISF, we believe that training and development is critical to ensure our staff can progress throughout the company, whilst finding work rewarding and engaging. Many of our team started as apprentices, have developed professionally and now hold management positions.
Training at ISF is collaborative and personalised, we develop a clear career progression path agreed upon by each staff member and their department manager. Regularly reviewing progress one-on-one with their manager, we encourage our employees to pursue further training to become more effective in their responsibilities and work towards promotion. This training ranges from safety courses, management qualifications, or even new degree-level certification.
As a new employee, you will receive a full induction covering the various aspects of business, learning best practices, procedures, and policies along the way. All employees deserve to work in a safe environment, so health and safety training are mandatory, with additional training provided wherever required.
You will see each department across the business as we are a tight-knit group working together to succeed for our clients. Some understanding of the various departments sets all employees up for success.
At each stage of your career you’ll be encouraged to pursue additional training and develop as a member of the ISF team. ISF runs internal knowledge-sharing sessions and brings in external trainers to keep up to date with industry best practices and policies.
ISF is a member of Safe Contractor approved and certified by CHAS and URS. These industry authorities offer a range of courses available to our employees, some of which are run for groups and some which our staff choose to take as supplementary learning.
Opportunity for Career Progression
As a full-service fabrication business, ISF offers careers in various practical and technical disciplines, such as welding, computer design, sales and purchasing. Many of our current managers and C-suite have worked across the Company from apprentice to their current positions.
Each department manager will formulate a personalised development plan and an appraisal schedule to review your performance and tailored to developing your career. You will get an opportunity to input on your personal performance targets, because at ISF we want your role to be enjoyable and engaging.
