We are thrilled to introduce Robbie, who joined our brilliant team of Mechanical Installation Engineers as a trainee last month.

Bringing positive energy, drive and a passion to make a real difference to our customers, Robbie is already doing a great job installing conveying equipment and processing machinery at customer sites all over the UK.

We caught up with him to hear how he’s been getting on…

WHAT MADE YOU APPLY FOR THIS APPRENTICESHIP AND WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE?

“I could see that ISF is a company who invests in their staff and I was looking for a place that was willing to invest time into me to help me grow my skills and build my career.

Before this I worked as a fabrication welder, but I was keen to take my career in a slightly different direction and excited by the idea that no two days are the same when you are out doing site work!”

HOW ARE YOU SETTLING IN SO FAR?

“Great! I’m really enjoying the variety of work that this role gives me, plus getting out and about seeing different places all over the UK is a fantastic part of the job!”

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?

“I look forward to progressing in my role, continuing to grow my skills in fitting machinery and gaining specialist knowledge of the animal feed industry.”

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE GOALS AND WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS?

“I’d love to keep progressing through the company, developing personally and professionally. I’d also like to advance my holistic understanding of the animal feed industry and be confident in my use of the niche specialist skills I’ve learned at ISF to play my role in protecting the longevity of such a critical industry.”

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES AND WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING IN YOUR FREE TIME?

“Out of work I love climbing and mountain-biking which I’ve been enjoying for around 5 years now. It’s great to get outdoors, build strength and get the adrenaline going!”

It’s great to have Robbie join our team.
