A Strong Start to the Year
January set the tone for a busy and positive year at ISF, with plenty happening across the business
Showcasing What We Do
We kicked things off by reintroducing ISF through our company video. It offers a behind-the-scenes look at how we design, manufacture and install bespoke engineering solutions from our York workshop to feed mills across the UK.
Welcoming New Talent to the Team
We also welcomed a new face to the team, as Shaun joined ISF as our Delivery Driver and Yard Person. He’s already settling in well, getting to know the site, routes and day-to-day operations, and strengthening the team that keeps our projects moving smoothly.
Celebrating a Major Milestone
This month also gave us a chance to celebrate an important milestone. Our founder and Managing Director, Iain Scott, turned 70, marking not just a birthday but more than three decades of building ISF with care, integrity and pride in British engineering. It was a fitting moment to reflect on the values and people-first approach that continue to shape the business today.
Industry Recognition and Thought Leadership
On the industry front, our latest article featured in the Winter edition of the Process Industry Informer supplement, looking back on a landmark year for ISF. While award shortlisting made headlines, the piece focused on what really defines us: long-term partnerships, practical engineering solutions and a committed, skilled team.
Delivering Results for Longstanding Customers
Project-wise, we shared another strong result from site, completing a pellet press upgrade for a long-standing customer in Cheshire. By integrating a refurbished press, fabricating bespoke components in-house, and carefully planning installation, we delivered higher throughput, improved reliability and a smoother operation, all ahead of schedule.
Alongside site work and project delivery, the team continued fabricating bespoke equipment in our York workshop, keeping multiple customer projects moving.
Looking Ahead
Finally, we end the month by looking ahead. With demand continuing to grow, we are recruiting for an Engineering Project Manager to help take projects from handover through to installation and support the next stage of ISF’s journey.
