To celebrate 35 years of business, we are doing two charity events to raise upwards of £3500 for our chosen charities.
Beginning 13th May – ISF Cycle Challenge – MacMillan Cancer Support
8th September – Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – St Leonards Hospice
ISF team cycling the equivalent length of the UK for Macmillan Cancer Support to celebrate our 35th anniversary.
Since 1989 ISF has travelled up and down the UK to find process engineering solutions for our customers and their animal feed mills. In recognition of this, our team will be collectively cycling the equivalent distance from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, by exercise bike from our very own York workshop!
Starting on the 13th of May, members of the team from across the business will take turns to cycle as many miles as possible each day to reach our target of 874 miles in as short a time as possible! Keep your eye out for our posts on LinkedIn and Facebook to see the leader board and how we are smashing our target!
This challenge is for Macmillan Cancer Support, as many members of our team’s lives have been touched by cancer, and we are so appreciative of the valuable work they do.
About Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support is a renowned charity dedicated to providing essential support to those affected by cancer.
Through their services, Macmillan aims to enhance the lives of people living with cancer and their families, empowering them with the resources and support necessary to navigate their cancer journey with dignity and hope.
Climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks for St Leonard’s Hospice
To go the extra mile for our 35-year anniversary, we are going to be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on the 8th of September for St Leonard’s Hospice! The gruelling trek covers approximately 24 miles (38.6 kilometres) and involves scaling the three highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-ghent (691 meters), Whernside (728 meters), and Ingleborough (723 meters). The total ascent during the challenge is over 1,500 meters (5,000 feet), so it’s safe to say it’s not going to be easy!
About St Leonard’s Hospice
St Leonard’s Hospice is an independent York based charity dedicated to providing specialist palliative care and support for local individuals with life-limiting illnesses.
St Leonard’s provides these services to their patients free of charge, but the costs involved are substantial. They heavily rely on public donations, revenue from their shops and a limited amount of public funding, which is why it is so important to us to donate so that St Leonards Hospice can keep doing the amazing work they do.
Watch our daily updates on Facebook and LinkedIn, you can support us by liking and sharing our posts, and donating anything you can for our fundraisers.
