Our ISF team installed a Big Bag (FIBC) emptying system for one of our customers in the Forest of Dean.
This was designed to automatically top-up an existing Micro-weighing bin. Due to the increased demand of the product, it was decided to purchase one-ton bags which would reduce both the cost and the manual rip and tip operation of 25kg bags. This will improve and ensure the health and safety of employees.
The bags can be lifted onto a frame above a receiving hopper; the bag is then untied, and the product flood feeds the hopper below. By using level probes in the micro-weighing holding bin, this can control the inclined Auger to start automatically and top up the bin.
A great practical solution to help support the health and safety behind bulk handling!
