An ISF Christmas Carol

It’s the late ‘80s in Yorkshire, where our story begins,

One man and a van – but then an alarm bell rings,

‘There’s a gap in the market, ’ exclaimed Iain Scott,

‘For feed mill engineers – a great idea or what?!”

So, a business was born, and a workshop was sourced,

Followed by a team of engineers – only the best, of course!

The years that followed weren’t always smooth,

A first-class reputation means there’s so much to lose.

Recession, Pandemic, worry from morning ‘til night,

‘What on Earth’s next?!’ he cried. ‘This is absolutely shhhh…ocking!

But we meet challenges head-on with tenacity and wit,

Perseverance, determination, and true Yorkshire grit.

36 years gone in the blink of an eye,

on a late-night workshop walk, he reflects…

Reminiscing about past projects, employees now friends,

And a welding spark of emotion he gets.

So much achieved, a legacy to leave,

Supporting the British food chain, agriculture and farmers,

A tear appears as he recalls all the good, then whispers,

‘I’d still rather be on a beach in the Bahamas!’

Merry Christmas from all of us at ISF!
