What was the problem?
Our customer did not have enough bin capacity or space to add further bins at their packing plant to expand feed production and increase output from their North Yorkshire animal feed processing facility.
What was our solution?
Our engineers looked at how they could utilise the existing bulk out-loading bins instead and came up with the solution of creating two different options for diverting the finished product.
We redesigned the existing bin bottoms with a new outlet hopper, adding an electro pneumatic divertor valve and chute work, and a twin trace conveyor.
This enabled the product to be sent either to the bulk out loading point to fill bulk trailers, or go to the packing plant for FIBC’S and 25kg bag filling.
This solution improved efficiency by ensuring the existing bins could be used for multiple purposes, whilst also saving the client money by eliminating the need for additional bins.
